International Day of Peace - Flute Meditation, Drumming & Kirtan at Great Stupa of Dharkamaya
Cost: $45.00. At the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, come make your prayers with drums as we circumambulate the stupa four times encircling the world with the heart beat. Join author and music therapist Christine Stevens in a flute meditation and sound bath using Native American and Indonesian style flutes and chanting with harmonium in the kirtan style.
On this powerful day of the International Day of Peace, Sept. 21, observed world wide, come and be part of a sonic prayer that can lift humanity and your own sense of inner peace to contribute to the world we want to create.
Schedule:
2pm - 2:30pm - Guided tour of Great Stupa with Joshua Mulder
2:30pm - Drum Circle at the Great Stupa
3:30pm - 5pm - Sound Bath and Meditation in the Stupa with Christine Stevens and Native flutes
6pm - 6:30pm - Dinner available in Dining Hall ($10 paid to Drala Mt Center)
7pm - 8:30pm Kirtan Chanting at the Stupa for Peace*Accommodations are available at Drama Mt Center if you wish to stay overnight.
